Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new or sustaining connector solutions, including board, cable, power, high-speed, and panel mount products.
• Develop and write engineering inputs for technical documentation while adhering to corporate standards for modeling and simulation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to develop cost analyses and product solutions.
• Perform hands-on problem identification during new product development and address quality concerns as they arise.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in connector design or manufacturing (component and assembly design experience may be considered).
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in New Albany, IN.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with simulation software, including FEA and CFD/Thermal Modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Office365 tools including Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
