Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain ML models for automated product categorization and taxonomy assignment
  • Lead deep-dive analyses into catalog completeness, consistency, and correctness
  • Architect and improve matching algorithms to link sales transactions to catalog products
  • Design and implement deduplication pipelines for variant grouping and entity resolution
  • Research and prototype improvements to product search and retrieval pipelines, including vector search
  • Build and maintain product graph infrastructure capturing relationships between products and brands
  • Take models and analytics prototypes from POC to production independently
  • Mentor Senior and mid-level Data Scientists through pairing and code reviews

Requirements

  • 7+ years in data science, ML engineering, or analytics engineering
  • 3+ years focused on product data, catalog quality, entity resolution, or e-commerce analytics
  • Proven ability to build production-grade data pipelines and deploy ML models independently
  • Expert-level Python and SQL
  • Advanced proficiency with ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and PySpark
  • Deep experience with entity resolution, fuzzy matching, and embeddings
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (CS, Statistics, Math, Engineering); Master's/PhD preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vector search and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
  • Familiarity with search and retrieval systems like Elasticsearch or Solr
  • Experience with graph databases and graph analytics
  • Advanced NLP for product data (NER, attribute extraction, semantic similarity)
  • Proficiency with GCP tools (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow)
  • Experience with recommendation systems
