Gemini is a global crypto and Web3 platform founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in 2014, offering a wide range of simple, reliable, and secure crypto products and services to individuals and institutions in over 70 countries.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk-principled legal, regulatory, and strategic advice to product, design, marketing, and technology teams
• Provide holistic legal support of complex financial arrangements including crypto custody, lending, and OTC trading
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements and establish standards such as SLAs for retail and institutional customers
• Manage projects effectively and collaboratively
• Build positive and influential relationships with Gemini leadership and cross-functional partners
• Collaborate with the General Counsel to evaluate legal risks and develop creative solutions

Requirements

• JD degree
• Minimum 6 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in-house
• Member of a US state bar in good standing
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing lending, payments, and depository account products
• Familiarity with U.S. securities and derivatives laws (SEC, FINRA, CFTC)
• Experience managing licensing applications for regulated financial services
• Experience drafting customer-facing disclosures and terms for retail payments
• Strong knowledge of and interest in disruptive technology
