About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with product and engineering teams on product and feature development and releases
- Advise on general compliance issues
- Partner with Product Marketing on go-to-market plans and materials
- Conduct legal reviews of new products, features, and UI/UX flows
- Focus on product areas, R&D processes, and customer-facing programs to become a trusted partner
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- U.S.-qualified (California bar membership or registered in-house counsel preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in-house at a SaaS company or at a law firm specializing in technology transactions
- Experience with product, intellectual property, or strategic partnerships
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Creative problem solver comfortable with risk assessment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in artificial intelligence, consumer protection, or payments
- Experience in productivity software or international compliance
- Experience in technical integrations or iPaaS
