Product Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product cost optimization strategies to improve margins and reduce operating costs.
• Utilize should-cost modeling, commodity cost management, and value engineering to drive cost reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, SQA, Finance, and Product Management, to ensure cost-effective product design and manufacturing.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate favorable pricing and terms, and hold vendors accountable to agreements.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost models to support analysis and decision-making.
• Contribute to the RFQ process and develop cost analysis processes for supplier proposal evaluations.
• Identify new sourcing opportunities and emerging technologies to improve competitiveness.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and forecasts to ensure financial alignment.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in cost engineering and value engineering.
• BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven expertise with should-cost tools and cost build-up analysis methods.
• Experience managing global supply chains and technical commodities.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product costing fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems.
• Experience with Logility demand and inventory planning systems.
