Product Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support business development with technical proposals and network diagrams
• Collaborate with control systems, SCADA, and IT teams for secure connectivity
• Integrate industrial protocols including Modbus, DNP3, and OPC-UA
• Compile product technical information packages for project engineering
• Co-lead review and validation of network and controls topics during project execution
• Maintain technical documentation and as-built drawings
• Capture design improvement feedback from design, commissioning, and O&M phases
• Recommend design approaches and equipment vendors
• Participate in product design sprints and commissioning phases

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar technical field
• 3+ years of hands-on controls engineering experience in project-based or industrial settings
• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs
• Familiarity with control systems and operational technology (OT)
• Ability to produce and read network and control architecture drawings
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for FAT inspection and site commissioning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BESS, SCADA, EMS, or Safety Systems
• Background in energy, utility, or data center environments
