Product Certification Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and ensure compliance with the ISO/IEC 17065 management system for energy efficiency certification of appliances and related products
• Develop and maintain certification schemes, evaluation standards, decision standards, and conformity criteria aligned with ISO/IEC 17065 and regulatory requirements
• Act as a technical expert regarding energy efficiency certification, interpreting test methods, laboratory reports, and technical results
• Evaluate the technical suitability of external laboratories and provide technical support to the Certification Committee
• Participate in risk management, impartiality analysis, and management review processes
• Perform document reviews and on-site evaluations to address technical observations and non-conformities
• Make certification decisions based on established procedures
• Support the sales team in structuring the operational scope of new or modified certification services

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or Industrial Engineering
• Completed and passed at least one course as an Internal Auditor or Quality Lead Auditor
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17025, and Supreme Decree Nº 009-2017-EM regarding energy efficiency labeling
• 3 years of experience in conformity assessment (within an OEC) and product certification
• Intermediate English proficiency
• Proficiency in Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 50001
