Product Calibration and Test System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, develop, and deploy high-precision sensor calibration and test systems for iPhone product lines
• Manage the full lifecycle of test systems from prototyping through mass production deployment
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define test coverage and implement calibration procedures
• Analyze large amounts of NPI data to generate system design improvement plans and run simulations/DOEs
• Conduct hardware and software failure analysis from the system level down to the component level
• Optimize existing algorithms for improved performance and execution time
• Balance engineering requirements with manufacturing efficiency to ensure high product quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical) or Physics
• 3+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a relevant industry
• Experience with digital serial communication protocols such as USB, UART, I2C, and SPI
• Proficiency in data processing, plotting, and mining large datasets
• Knowledge of embedded systems, hardware automation, and motion control
• Intermediate software programming skills in C, C++, or Objective-C for interacting with embedded systems
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and consumer electronics manufacturing
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
• Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and technical communication abilities
• Proven ability to multitask on multiple challenging projects with tight schedules
