Product Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and development for assigned programs to ensure system performance meets technical requirements
• Manage design schedules, deliverables, and budgets
• Act as a technical leader and coordinator within the R&D group
• Identify risks and specify tender modifications during the development phase
• Direct CAD designers in the development of assembly math data and drawings
• Direct Test Engineers and Technicians in the development of Design and Process Validation Plans
• Manage the product file including 3D/2D drawings, simulations, DFMEA, DVP&R, and BOM in the PLM system
• Release drawings and math data to suppliers and customers according to specific standards
• Lead design performance reviews (DPR) and organize GD&T reviews
• Drive continuous improvement for lower costs and increased quality

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• 2-3 years of related business or automotive experience
• Experience with fuel systems preferred
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings
• Basic understanding of CAE systems (Unigraphics, SDRC I-DEAS, CATIA, ABAQUS, etc.)
• Knowledge of injection, punching, and blow molding
• Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, GD&T, and MSA
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and TS 16949 procedures
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive industry experience
• Expertise in fuel system development
