About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply key insights for commercial insurance exposures and products within the sharing economy.
- Create and support innovative large commercial products tailored for Transportation Network Companies, Delivery Network Companies, and Last Mile Delivery Companies.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for the organization on P&C commercial lines specific to the digital economy.
- Collaborate with enterprise departments including claims, actuarial, risk management, legal, and underwriting.
- Apply expertise in the E&S market to grow State Farm's Sharing Economy Practice.
- Advocate for the unique needs of Sharing Economy policyholders and share industry knowledge to enhance product offerings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Excess and Surplus (E&S) or non-admitted market.
- Advanced knowledge of the P&C industry, including underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with large, complex auto coverages.
- Experience with non-admitted reporting.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive projects to completion.
- High-level understanding of P&C rate making, policy/forms creation, and filings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience from a carrier or broker perspective within the E&S market.
- Direct experience with the primary level insurance needs of Sharing Economy companies.
- Knowledge of sharing economy, commercial lines, and auto underwriting.
- Experience working directly with insurance brokers.
