Producer/Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Associate Professor of Theatre Arts

Responsibilities

• Teach courses based on expertise in areas such as arts administration, acting, directing, musical theatre, dance, and/or theatre design and technology
• Serve as Producer for the academic theatre and dance season, collaborating with the Production Manager and Department Chair
• Manage production budgeting, reconciliation, and licensing
• Liaise with guest artists, including contract negotiation and production support
• Oversee casting processes and provide service to the Department and College

Requirements

• Master's degree required
• Proven teaching expertise and ability to support diverse student academic levels
• Strong administrative and leadership experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree (MFA or PhD)
• Experience with producing at the university level or within the professional field
