Producer

Responsibilities

• Craft newscasts including stacking, writing, editing copy, in-studio moves, and ordering graphics
• Lead the production process from the control room during live broadcasts, remotes, and breaking news situations
• Develop original story ideas and research potential show topics and guests
• Use social media tools daily to enhance and promote products and talent
• Ensure product content and style meet high standards for multiplatform distribution
• Work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience producing news in a medium to large TV market
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• Excellent and grammatically accurate Spanish language skills
• Proficiency in news writing for all platforms
• Ample knowledge of television production, news gathering equipment, and computer systems
• Strong understanding of current events, with an emphasis on local and regional news

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience producing interviews, panel shows, or news magazines
