Producer

Responsibilities

• Write and edit news stories for on-air broadcasting and digital platforms
• Encourage innovation and risk-taking to craft creative, emotional newscasts
• Use creative production techniques, including graphics and new media, to enhance stories
• Incorporate streaming and social media platforms into newscasts
• Work collaboratively with other producers and staff members to deliver high-quality content
• Handle live, breaking news situations and changing events calmly and effectively

Requirements

• BA/BS in journalism, communications, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• Strong understanding of the tenets of professional journalism
• Ability to work under constant time pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ENPS and Axis graphics
• Experience in photojournalism, editing, or content management systems
