Responsibilities

• Pitch compelling stories using natural curiosity and creativity
• Craft stories of all lengths for various platforms and specific audiences
• Combine live pictures, graphics, video, and sound to create engaging experiences
• Meet daily deadlines and handle live, breaking news situations calmly
• Booth continuous coverage on live streams for breaking news and community events
• Use data analytics to help shape show content
• Ensure all communities and viewpoints have a voice and presence in the rundown

Requirements

• 0-1 years of news content experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Solid journalistic judgment and understanding of professional journalism tenets
• Strong social media skills and an active news presence on preferred platforms
• Excellent communication and organizational skills under time pressure
• Ability to operate a news gathering vehicle (valid driver's license required)
• Experience with ENPS and Edius systems is preferred
