Responsibilities

• Pitch compelling stories using natural curiosity and creative storytelling skills
• Craft stories of various lengths for multiple platforms to engage specific audiences
• Combine live pictures, graphics, video, and sound to create engaging news experiences
• Booth continuous coverage for live streams during breaking news and community events
• Use data analytics to help shape the content and direction of newscasts
• Ensure all communities and viewpoints have a voice and presence in the show
• Meet daily deadlines and handle live, breaking news situations calmly

Requirements

• 0-1 years of news content experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Solid journalistic judgment and an understanding of professional journalism tenets
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Proficiency in social media and maintaining an active news presence on digital platforms
• Experience with ENPS and Edius systems is preferred
