Producer, MS NOW Digital

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and produce two or more vertical videos daily
• Transform compelling segments into viral social video content
• Collaborate with anchors, contributors, and reporters on original video
• React quickly to breaking news to lead the news cycle
• Generate daily and long-term original video pitches
• Develop new social franchises with senior leaders
• Produce graphics, carousels, and thumbnails for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
• Manage YouTube livestreams from start to finish
• Write compelling headlines and scripts

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of social media editing, producing, and writing
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere
• Proven experience editing and producing original digital video
• Strong scriptwriting skills for digital video audiences
• Deep expertise in U.S. politics
• Strong editorial judgment and commitment to accuracy
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva
• Understanding of YouTube livestream technology
• Ability to work in New York, NY on a hybrid schedule (Tuesday-Thursday in office)

• Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Understanding of digital gear including camera operations and microphones
