Producer, Journalist

Responsibilities

• Create, commission, and produce high-impact news content for the 7PM News Bulletin and across on-demand, web, mobile, and social platforms
• Work in various newsroom production roles, including Supervising Producer and Newsgathering Producer
• Commission and organize reporters and field operators to provide coverage for all network programs
• Manage logistics for breaking news coverage to ensure appropriate deployment of newsgathering resources
• Provide constructive feedback to Content Makers regarding stories, assignments, and coverage
• Deliver multiplatform coverage plans for major events such as elections and budgets
• Use real-time analytics and audience data to anticipate national coverage needs and influence content creation

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of multi-platform production in a breaking news environment
• Strong news judgment and the ability to make editorial decisions in a fast-paced setting
• Experience using audience data and insights to drive engagement across digital and broadcast platforms
• Proven leadership skills to guide high-performing teams and oversee staff
• High level of organization, efficiency, and communication skills
