About the role
Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close new commercial insurance accounts that meet company criteria
- Identify target industries and market segments to build specialized knowledge and networks
- Conduct needs reviews during initial and subsequent qualifying interviews with prospects
- Lead strategy meetings and take full ownership of the final proposal presentation and closing process
- Proactively identify and coordinate cross-selling opportunities with other sales units
- Maintain all required client and prospect information within Salesforce CRM
- Partner with the Account Servicing team to maintain client contacts and ensure account retention
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct business-to-business (B2B) selling experience
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations
- Must hold, or obtain within 90 days of hire, Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses
- Proficiency with MS Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Commercial Insurance, specifically in Commercial Property & Casualty and Group Benefits
- Bachelor's degree
