Responsibilities

• Select, research, and write compelling content for live newscasts to create an engaging viewer experience
• Work closely with news management to execute the organization's brand and vision
• Showcase content and anchors to win big stories and create visually compelling newscasts
• Coordinate and execute creative vision with anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, and production staff
• Post content to digital platforms, including Facebook, as necessary

Requirements

• 2 years of professional newsroom producing experience
• College degree in broadcast journalism, broadcast news, or a related field
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, and copy-editing skills
• Proficiency with ENPS
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple crews and responsibilities simultaneously
• Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights, including during severe weather and breaking news
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under high-pressure situations
• Ability to work onsite in Oklahoma City
