Producer

Responsibilities

• Select, research, and write content for live newscasts to create an engaging viewer experience
• Work with and guide reporters in the production of stories
• Coordinate creative vision with anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff
• Booth assigned newscasts, breaking news, and weather events
• Manage live timing for newscasts

Requirements

• Professional or college-level producing experience
• Previous experience working in a newsroom environment
• Strong writing and copy-editing skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple crews and responsibilities simultaneously
• Experience summarizing complex information into easy-to-understand components
• Ability to exhibit the highest journalistic integrity and ethical standards
• Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights, with flexibility for breaking news
• Related military experience will be considered
