Producer

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the team related to news bulletins and shows (desk chiefs, writers, and directors)
• Develop and propose relevant, original, and current news topics for all platforms
• Mentor and support field journalists in designing and optimizing reports
• Coordinate and produce bulletins for Quebec and surrounding regions
• Supervise the selection of high-profile guests, specialists, and experts for interviews
• Monitor product quality across all platforms and propose improvements to current methods

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including significant team management experience
• Strong knowledge of Quebec, Canadian, and international news events
• Ability to make quick decisions in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent mastery of French (spoken and written)
• Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written) for regular communication with external partners
• Leadership skills, strong organizational sense, and creativity
