Procurement/Buyer

Responsibilities

• Purchase items, materials, and services of varying complexity
• Draft purchase orders and document supplier selection processes
• Perform price analysis consistent with FAR and DFARS requirements
• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) detailing specific program requirements
• Evaluate vendor responses for compliance with RFQ requirements
• Ensure file documentation is accurate and complete according to company policies and federal regulations

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing within government contracting
• Strong knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations and procurement practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a decision-making capacity within procurement
• Experience with accounting or purchasing systems such as Deltek or Unanet
