Procurement/Buyer

Responsibilities

• Purchase items, materials, and services of varying complexity
• Draft purchase orders and document supplier selection
• Perform price analysis consistent with FAR and DFARS requirements
• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) detailing program requirements
• Evaluate responses for compliance with RFQ requirements
• Ensure file documentation is accurate and complete according to company policies and FAR/DFARS regulations

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing within government contracting
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations
• Experience negotiating purchase orders and contractual documents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a decision-making capacity within procurement
• Experience with accounting/purchasing systems such as Deltek or Unanet
