Procurement Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management, acquisition strategy development, and procurement oversight for Department of State initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies and procedures.
• Support the drafting of acquisition packages, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), market research, and procurement strategies.
• Assist with proposal and quote evaluations, including price/cost and technical analysis.
• Coordinate with Contracting Officers and CORs to ensure timely contract execution and manage contract modifications, funding actions, and invoice approvals.
• Provide briefings and presentations regarding the acquisition process to senior management.

Requirements

• An active and current Secret federal security clearance.
• Five (5) years of Federal contract support experience within the last seven (7) years.
• Direct experience with federal acquisition processes and activities.
• Proven experience developing acquisition documents such as statements of work, market research, and acquisition plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting Department of State acquisition programs.
• Previous FAC-C (or equivalent) certification.
