About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of direct and indirect materials and services to support production schedules and business needs.
- Maintain an uninterrupted flow of materials while optimizing costs and quality.
- Develop and maintain strong buyer-seller relationships.
- Select suppliers, issue inquiries, obtain quotations, and confirm lead times and costs.
- Issue Purchase Orders and ensure accurate order acknowledgments and delivery dates.
- Follow up on open Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery and obtain alternative solutions when necessary.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse departments regarding transport and stock management.
- Communicate potential shortages or interruptions to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance, capacities, and data accuracy within the ERP system.
- Ensure PO matching and valid invoicing for the finance department.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Ability to work onsite in Zagreb 5 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar procurement role.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems.
