Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

• Facilitate procurement actions by preparing RFPs/RFQs, coordinating vendor quotes, and managing acquisition documents.
• Develop and maintain purchasing strategies for software tools and platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Jira.
• Track and manage software licenses and renewals to optimize organizational costs.
• Oversee the full purchasing lifecycle, including negotiating agreements and assessing vendor performance.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on cost efficiency, licensing models, and security compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and support tool integration.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with federal regulations and organizational security standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement or asset management experience, ideally within IT, DevSecOps, or federal contracting.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools like Power BI.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their security features.
• Working knowledge of federal procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS, GSA Schedules).
• PMP certification.
