Procurement Planner

Responsibilities

• Manage the timely and cost-effective acquisition of components and finished goods from overseas and domestic suppliers.
• Perform supply chain planning and purchasing activities, including reviewing daily demand and supply numbers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies for new, promoted, and discontinued products.
• Monitor purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve backorders to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain inventory master data in Oracle and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory for disposition.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and provide regular performance reporting and stock status updates.

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing and Planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of international product merchandising, processes, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using statistical systems to analyze and manage inventory levels.
• Professional certification in a related supply chain field.
