Procurement Manager - Ground Handling & Airport Services

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement group-wide ground handling category strategies to support network expansion and cost efficiencies.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing and tendering activities (RFI, RFQ, RFP) using Oracle Fusion sourcing platforms.
• Negotiate and execute Ground Handling Agreements (GHA) in accordance with IATA SGHA standards.
• Negotiate aeronautical fees with airport authorities, including landing, navigation, and passenger facility charges.
• Manage airport space lease and rental agreements, overseeing the full contract lifecycle.
• Establish and monitor supplier KPIs and SLAs to drive accountability and service excellence.
• Partner with Network Planning, Finance, and Legal teams to support route launches and strategic business initiatives.
• Provide direction, coaching, and professional development to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in procurement, specifically within aviation ground handling services.
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of the IATA Airport Handling and SGHA framework.
• Proven expertise in airport commercial negotiations and supplier management across EMEA and Asian markets.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Oracle Fusion, eSourcing, or CLM tools.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ICAO charging principles and Airport Economic Regulations.
• Experience with international contracts and aviation-specific regulatory frameworks.
