Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders for metals, busbars, electrical components, and switchboard subassemblies
• Track open orders and supplier commitments to prevent production line disruptions
• Run RFI/RFQ processes for new and existing components
• Negotiate component costs, payment terms, and supplier contracts
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers
• Manage risk on long lead-time items through buffer strategies and alternate sourcing
• Build and maintain commodity strategies including sourcing roadmaps and cost-down initiatives
• Track and report supplier performance regarding delivery, quality, and cost

Requirements

• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or commodity management
• Experience in electrical, industrial, or metals-based manufacturing
• Experience buying metals, busbars, or electrical/electronic components
• Hands-on experience with RFI/RFQ processes and contract negotiation
• Track record of managing long lead-time and supply-constrained categories
• Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems
• Ability to read BOMs and component specifications
