About the Company
The City of New York’s Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) is the nation’s largest administrative tribunal, holding more than 250,000 trials and hearings a year. As the City’s central, independent administrative law court, OATH adjudicates a wide range of matters filed by nearly every city agency, board and commission.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and evaluate solicitation documents to ensure conformity to agency requirements and citywide standards
- Prepare Pre-Solicitation reviews, Recommendation for Award, and Reasonable Price Determinations
- Oversee and manage pre-solicitation review activities
- Examine bid samples to determine compliance with specifications
- Analyze vendor past performance, financial status, and other factors to determine responsibility
- Serve as the Agency’s Assistant Chief Diversity Officer, overseeing the MWBE program
- Supervise, train, and evaluate entry-level procurement analysts and support staff
- Conduct open market research and identify goods for Preferred Source methods
- Collaborate with vendors, programs, and fiscal staff to ensure prompt payment
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- Four years of full-time professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or contract administration
- At least eighteen months of experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity
- Experience supervising professional personnel
- Professional procurement certification may substitute for up to one year of experience
