Procurement Engineer for Production Materials

Responsibilities

• Initiate cost reduction measures in the product development process and optimize specifications through standardization and modularization
• Identify and implement cost reduction potential using technical benchmarks, cost analysis, and value engineering
• Analyze global procurement markets to support forward-looking supplier selection and development
• Support the technical development of the supplier portfolio and materials, including drafting R&D supplier contracts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across R&D, Marketing, Logistics, and Quality Management to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Material Science, or a related field)
• At least 1 year of experience in Procurement or a similar technical department
• Knowledge of quality techniques (e.g., SD methodology, APQP) and standards such as IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
• Fluency in both Hungarian and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor or electrical industry
• Proficiency in German and/or Chinese
• Strong affinity for economic and commercial topics
• Exceptional negotiation skills and a creative process improvement mindset
