About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the vendor database and add new vendors as needed
  • Manage the university Amazon account
  • Obtain order confirmations and communicate backorders or discontinued items to end users
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to update supplier information and purchase order change orders
  • Process purchase orders and place daily orders following operational guidelines
  • Work closely with the Director to establish and implement efficient workflow procedures
  • Contribute to department training, internal communications, and work-related initiatives

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related procurement or administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and "outside the box" thinking
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable math, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft or other related ERP systems
