About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the procurement process for construction projects and ongoing operations
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and gather pricing and quality information
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors
- Generate and manage purchase orders in compliance with company procedures
- Monitor purchase order status and track deliveries
- Manage supplier contracts and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain an inventory system to track stock levels of construction materials and equipment
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconciliations
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and vendor performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Experience in the construction field preferred
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
