Procurement Consultant

Responsibilities

• Manage tender activities and commercial aspects for key business areas including HR, IT, Marketing, and Communications
• Develop and implement contract strategies and tenderer selection in liaison with business stakeholders and credit risk teams
• Lead the end-to-end tendering process and negotiate commercial contract terms to mitigate risk and deliver business objectives
• Maintain constructive partnerships with internal business managers and external supply chain organisations
• Identify and pre-qualify potential new suppliers to extend the supply chain
• Ensure high levels of corporate governance and compliance with procurement policies, ethics codes, and anti-bribery requirements
• Provide contractual support and advice to project managers during the post-contract award phase

Requirements

• SVQ/NVQ in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience managing end-to-end tender processes
• Experience in commercial contract negotiation and managing complex contracts
• Proficiency in MS Excel for detailed tender analysis
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of financial, commercial, and business risk mitigation practices
