Procurement Consultant

Responsibilities

• Drive competitive advantage and cost reductions through effective procurement of goods, works, and services
• Lead tendering activity, negotiate contracts, and resolve commercial issues
• Develop contracting strategies and negotiate one-off contracts or framework agreements
• Manage pre and post-contract commercial activities to ensure best value and compliance with Group processes
• Ensure requirements are sourced from ethical and sustainable suppliers with appropriate risk allocation
• Provide sourcing and purchasing advice to stakeholders to promote consistent supply chain practices
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks within the procurement process
• Manage an annual portfolio of multiple contracts and high-value accounts

Requirements

• Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience within a related industry such as construction, energy, or engineering
• Proven experience managing the end-to-end tender process
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in contract negotiations
• Proficiency in MS Excel for tender analysis
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
