Procurement Business Partner - VP

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior business leaders to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with bank objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary interface between Procurement and business stakeholders, providing expertise on sourcing strategy, third-party risk, and supplier relations.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and procurement efficiency.
• Provide actionable intelligence and insights to support business decision-making regarding commercial and risk profiles.
• Support key business change programs, including acquisitions, divestments, and platform transformations.
• Manage and mitigate risks through robust assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Procurement Sourcing or commercial roles within financial services or highly regulated industries.
• Proven expertise in third-party risk management, outsourcing regulations, and governance frameworks.
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance value delivery against regulatory and operational resilience needs.
• High level of data literacy with experience using procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, Process Unity) to influence stakeholders.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Director and Managing Director levels.
