Procurement Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage the timely acquisition of production supplies, raw materials, and finished goods using MRP and reorder point concepts.
• Contact vendors to place orders, obtain price quotes, and negotiate terms, prices, and discounts.
• Monitor inventory levels and demand needs using various reports and systems to maximize inventory turns.
• Compose purchase orders, usage reports, and other purchasing correspondence while maintaining accurate item records.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and product quality issues by collaborating with vendors and internal receiving teams.
• Act as a liaison between vendors and the production floor to ensure manufacturing needs are met.
• Assist Engineering staff with product development and material change reviews to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 2-year post-high school education or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Winona, MN.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional experience in logistics, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Experience with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems.
