Processing Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and nightly operations of the Coopersville Product Processing Department
• Review daily inventories and production plans with the Material/Scheduling Manager
• Accountable for third-party Food Safety and GMP audits and internal Quality programs
• Monitor processing department to ensure employee compliance with GMPs, sanitation, and safety
• Verify plant processing equipment is in good working condition and coordinate preventative maintenance
• Manage processing department budget within financial guidance
• Manage processing teams across different days and schedules

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in Fluid Milk or Value-Added processing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or Dairy Science preferred
• Working knowledge of PMO
• Experience working with FDA/USDA or other regulatory agencies
• Experience in a 24/7 operation
• Ability to implement Lean Principles including 5S
• Understanding of CIP operations, functionality, and chemistry
• Ability to work all shifts including off shifts
