About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead data analysis and data model development to account for dairy losses across the facility
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accounting of losses
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and drive implementation
  • Design and implement innovative ways to track and trend product loss data
  • Lead Problem Solving to identify root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Review and report out daily product losses
  • Build reports and tools to track and monitor product loss data throughout the plant
  • Verify that processing systems and fillers are limiting high solids streams to the drain
  • Work with production and continuous improvement to facilitate product savings activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of food industry or chemical process related experience
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Continuous Improvement and root cause analysis expertise
  • Ability to manage projects with cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computerized information systems, ERP, and engineering drawings
  • Strong financial acumen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aseptic or Dairy experience (UHT, homogenizers, separators, filtration plants)
  • Experience with CAD or SolidWorks
  • Ability to understand and recommend changes to PLC Logic
