Process Technician

Responsibilities

• Define all process parameters for cast parts, including pouring temperature, cooling time, heat treatment curves, and sand properties
• Monitor manufacturing stages including molding, melting, pouring, shakeout, heat treatment, and deburring
• Develop technical data sheets, calculate minimum alloy costs, and troubleshoot casting defects
• Develop processes for new parts and alloys, select raw materials, and create manufacturing procedures
• Manage the mechanical properties of cast parts and control scrap rates
• Validate weld repairs and assist in sand quality control
• Implement cost reduction projects and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain a 100% commitment to zero-accident safety behaviors and a world-class safety culture

Requirements

• Technical degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Processes, or Production Processes
• Extensive experience in casting processes from molding through heat treatment
• Knowledge of phase transformations, metal solidification, and casting design
• Understanding of destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) and metallographic preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Solid experience in process simulation using MAGMASOFT

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher education in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering
• Experience using SAP
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
