Process Technician

Responsibilities

• Start up, shut down, and maintain blow molding machines and material handling systems
• Troubleshoot process problems and provide detailed documentation of all actions performed
• Perform preventative maintenance and manage material handling preventive maintenance orders
• Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, including risk analysis and coaching others on safe work practices
• Implement continuous improvement solutions to reduce scrap and improve efficiency
• Manage downtime events and perform daily 5S and housekeeping tasks
• Exercise authority to stop production if quality or safety issues arise

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Working knowledge of blow mold machines and processes
• Technical skills in electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Proficiency in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) concepts and application
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in environments with high and low temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year Associate’s degree or applied trade apprenticeship
