Process Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operation of basic control systems to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates
• Operate valves, lift hoses, and bolt flanges, including proper equipment clearing and isolation
• Follow operating discipline and procedures to ensure safe and efficient plant operations
• Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety, and environmental issues
• Identify equipment requiring maintenance and ensure safe performance of project work
• Certify in multiple roles, including inside Control Board Operator and Outside Operator
• Manage logistics activities such as drumming and loading/offloading tank trucks or railcars
• Join the Houston Hub Emergency Response Team

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED combined with one of the following:
• 5+ years of industrial experience
• Associate’s degree in process technology, science, or engineering
• 3+ years of relevant military service
• Valid US Driver's License
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
• Ability to meet the physical requirements for the Emergency Response Team (including a 3-year commitment)
• Ability to manage the physical and mental demands of monitoring control systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Process Operator at a chemical plant or refinery
• Process Technology Certification
• Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills
