Process Superintendent - Water Treatment

Responsibilities

• Oversee water treatment operations at the Faro Mine site in a rotational capacity
• Manage pumping and conveyance systems, including pumps and piping from pits and ponds
• Direct lime treatment operations and manage inventory of consumables such as lime, acid, and floc
• Manage and coordinate crews of 25+ members, including operators and administrative staff, within a unionized environment
• Forecast monthly labor requirements and manage project budgets to ensure maximum value
• Maintain accurate daily records of plant and pumping performance to support continuous improvement
• Conduct daily site inspections and notify management of risks regarding processes, pumps, and pipelines
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Support the maintenance team with planned activities on water treatment facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of industrial or mine water treatment experience
• Demonstrated experience managing pumping/conveyance and lime treatment operations for large-scale contaminated water programs
• Proven experience managing and coordinating crews of more than 25 people
• Ability to lift 20 kg
• Valid class 5 driver’s license
• Knowledge of Canadian OHS Code, as well as Territorial and Municipal Building codes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and risk mitigation
