Process Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop Process Design Basis and Design Philosophies based on the specific scope of work.
• Perform and guide process simulations to develop Heat & Mass Balances.
• Develop technical documentation including PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, and Safe charts.
• Execute routine process calculations for hydraulics and sizing using specialized software and spreadsheets.
• Design equipment such as separators, pumps, compressors, and gas treatment units.
• Manage utility balances, including steam, instrument air, nitrogen, and water systems.
• Perform relief valve and flare load calculations.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering departments to ensure project execution.
• Evaluate vendor, consultant, and licensor offers for process packages and equipment.
• Participate in safety studies including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10 to 15 years of professional experience in process engineering.
• Proficiency in process engineering software, specifically HYSYS and Flarenet.
• Proven experience in FEED and Detail Engineering stages of projects.
• Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Offshore sectors.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, codes, and engineering specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for work within KBR offices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the engineering and design of Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, and Columns.
• Knowledge of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and Operations.
• Expertise in offsites, including tank farms, boilers, and power generation.
