Process Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute process safety strategic intervention plans to establish a robust Process Safety Management System
• Implement the Hazard & Effect Management Process (HEMP), including HAZID, HAZOP, SCE Management, and MOC
• Monitor and analyze Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPI) to identify gaps and propose improvement plans
• Lead or participate in incident investigations using methodologies such as 5-WHYs, RCA, IncidentXP, and ABR
• Monitor daily operational status, asset integrity, and reliability to identify potential process safety issues
• Ensure continuous compliance with process safety governance and facilitate the closure of all process safety action items
• Promote process safety campaigns to strengthen the safety culture within the organization

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of technical experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering/science field
• Proven experience in Process Engineering & Design or Process Safety
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience facilitating HAZOP, Bowtie, or RCA tools
• Previous field experience in oil and gas operations
