Responsibilities

• Participate in process studies for refining, petrochemical, and chemical projects
• Design unit plans (PFD, PID) and participate in client reviews
• Perform material, thermal, and utility balances
• Establish or validate hydraulic calculations, simulations, and safety reviews
• Size equipment or control valves using simulation tools or spreadsheets
• Write specification sheets for equipment (pumps, exchangers, tanks, etc.), instruments, and safety valves
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to increase operational efficiency and profitability
• Conduct process audits to evaluate workflows, operational practices, and safety standards
• Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Participate in and lead project meetings with clients
• Ensure technological and regulatory monitoring to integrate innovations

Requirements

• Engineering degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in process studies (production or engineering) within the refining or chemical sectors
• Proficiency in English (written and oral)
• Mastery of simulation tools such as HYSYS or PROII
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and MASE quality and safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HAZOP reviews
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
