Process Lead Engineer - Petrochemical

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering (DE) activities for open-art and licensed petrochemical units.
• Liaise with technology licensors, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of project scope and technical specifications.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, HMBs, and material selection diagrams.
• Support HAZID/HAZOP, SIL, and other risk assessments throughout the engineering phases.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables including data sheets, technical specifications, design calculations, and layout drawings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as API, ASME, and NFPA.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
• Monitor engineering progress against project milestones and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or an equivalent field.
• 15–20 years of relevant engineering experience, including 5–8 years specifically in petrochemical units.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
• Strong knowledge of API, ASME, and NFPA standards.
• Proven track record in FEED and DE phases for large-scale petrochemical projects.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as per project requirements.
