Process Improvement Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, throughput, and quality
• Evaluate assembly line processes, material flow, and workstation layouts
• Identify process bottlenecks and waste using data-driven analysis
• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events
• Conduct time studies, work measurement, and line balancing to optimize efficiency
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping tools
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and manufacturing readiness
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing (automotive, consumer products, or OPE)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with Power BI, Minitab, ERP/MRP systems, or AutoCAD
