About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop efficient and rapid crystallization and separation processes to continuously remove oxidized metal fuel from the electrolyte
- Optimize electrolyte formulations and operating process conditions to accelerate precipitation and improve filtration efficiency
- Work with vendors and engineering teams to design, build, and validate equipment for implementation in generators
- Scale and demonstrate new materials and processes in pilot and production-intent systems
Requirements
- Track record of developing new crystallization or separation processes or equipment
- Extensive use of crystallization or separation processes in development of novel materials
- Experience working with cross-functional teams for system or device development
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and validating continuous multiphase reactor and filtration systems at bench and pilot scale
- Experience working with systems involving solid handling and solid characterization
