Process Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve powder coating production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Collect and analyze process data to support process control and troubleshooting
• Participate in root-cause analysis and verify run condition changes during production
• Set run conditions and perform changeover verifications
• Support the adjustment of powder paints and prepare test samples for lab-scale batch experiments
• Conduct chemical and physical testing on in-process samples and finished products
• Perform quality control checks and document results according to established standards
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on product consistency and defect reduction

Requirements

• High School Diploma (minimum)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong data entry and documentation skills
• Ability to work the afternoon shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year degree (Associate's) in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• Experience in paint and coatings manufacturing
• Knowledge of powder coatings, polymers, or industrial chemical processes
• Experience with coating testing, quality systems, or Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safe chemical handling practices
